The position was previously held by Raphaël Bernardelli, who also covered Central Africa and whose new assignment is not yet known.

At Alstom, the integration of its former rival Bombardier was achieved at the holding level with the appointment of Andrew DeLeone, formerly with the Canadian group, and who has been heading the Africa Middle East Central Asia zone since last February. DeLeone replaced Müslüm Yakisan, who took over the GACH region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland).
