Faure Gnassingbé’s minister-advisor Shegun Bakari to resign and launch investment fund
According to Jeune Afrique Business+ sources, after five years of working closely with President Faure Gnassingbé, the former executive of Société Générale will leave his post at the end of the year.

In Lomé, Shegun Bakari has risen to become one of the principal economic advisers to Togolese President Faure Gnassingbé. According to Jeune Afrique Business+ sources, Bakari will gradually relinquish his duties to the head of state to focus on launching his investment fund in October. By the end of 2021, he would have ceased all his activities within the presidency.
