Lake Albert: Standard Bank to decide on EACOP pipeline financing this quarter

The financing of this essential infrastructure for the oil project remains to be determined as the final investment decision has just been announced. However, many banks have thrown in the towel.

When contacted by Africa Business+, Standard Bank said that support for the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) was conditional on environmental and social due diligence in line with the Equator Principles, which major international banks accept.
