The buyer is Néré Mining, a consortium led by local entrepreneur Élie Justin Ouédraogo and a director of Semafo Burkina Faso, one of the entities of Semafo, the Canadian mining company acquired by Endeavour in 2020. Ouédraogo controls 29% of Néré Mining and chairs Riverstone Karma SA, the company with a share capital of CFAF 52 billion (€79.3 million) that holds the Karma mining licence near Ouahigouya in the north of the country.
