ConocoPhillips pays $900 million tax bill to Libyan authorities

The USA group, together with TotalEnergies, bought the 8.16% stake in the Libyan Waha Oil Company held by its compatriot Hess. The partners intend to invest $2 billion in the oil and gas concession, its sole asset in the country.
