Telecel takes Mattel ahead of Inwi and Sonatel while Bouamatou makes his exit

After many twists and turns, the British group finally gets its hands on the Mauritanian operator, a subsidiary of Tunisie Telecom.

According to Africa Business+ sources close to the case, an exclusivity agreement was signed on 14 March between Tunisie Telecom, BSA Télécommunication and Comate, current shareholders of Mauritano-Tunisienne des télécommunications (Mattel), and the Telecel group.
