The Telecel Group is in discussions with Helios to acquire Telkom in Kenya and, having recently acquired Mattel in Mauritania, appears to be accelerating its offensive on the continent.

With an investment plan of $700 million to be injected into its current operations and the acquisition of future operators, the group of 1,000 employees headed by Mohamad Damush is not ruling out the possibility of reinforcing its small team shortly.
