BP on gas for EU: “We are looking at how GTA Phase 2 can help”
Over the past year, the rise in oil prices accelerated by the outbreak of war in Ukraine in early 2022 has put the Grand Tortue Ahmeyim project – two offshore gas fields straddling the Mauritania-Senegal border – back at the top of the agenda for operator BP.

The British giant is talking about executing the second phase of the project. This had recently slowed down and delayed the first phase’s entry into force from this year to 2023.
