The Czech Zdenek Metelak, general manager of Société Générale Madagascar, is trying to strengthen the subsidiary of the French giant and has approached the International Finance Corporation. At this stage of the discussions, the bank – one of the leaders of the Big Island alongside BNI Madagascar and BMOI – could benefit to the tune of $20 million and with a maturity of five years.
