Nigeria: Philippine ICTSI prepares $100 million investment in its Onne terminal

The port group controlled by the Razon family is betting more and more on Africa. Already present in the DRC, Madagascar and Cameroon (Kribi multipurpose terminal), ICTSI is investing in Onne, its site in Nigeria, until now a stronghold of the Danish Maersk, part of the giant APM terminals.

Since its discreet opening in May 2021, Onne Multipurpose Terminal (OMT) has obtained some $35 million investment through the subsidiary ICTSI Nigeria Ltd (ICTSNL) for port equipment, IT and training. According to Africa Business+ sources, International Container Terminal Services Inc (ICTSI) plans for a further US$100 million for the infrastructure around Port Harcourt.
