Telecom: Mattel ends negotiations with Telecel – Sonatel back in the running
According to Africa Business+, the Mauritanian operator’s shareholders are reconsidering the transfer agreement signed in favour of Telecel at the end of May. Orange, via its Senegalese subsidiary, is again studying the case.

There is a new development in the sale of Mattel. In March, Mohamed Ould Bouamatou, Bechir El Hassen and Tunisie Telecom – shareholders of the Mauritanian operator – accepted the purchase offer of Telecel. However, sources close to the case said the latter is no longer able to finalise the acquisition.
