Spedag acquisition : CMA CGM’s CEVA Logistics advised by CMS Francis Lefebvre
CEVA, the logistics development subsidiary of the world’s third-largest container shipping company CMA CGM, finalised the purchase of Spedag Interfreight on 13 July. Spedag Interfreight is the East African arm of the Swiss family-owned logistics group M+R Spedag.

CEVA’s takeover of Spedag Interfreight is now final, including antitrust clearances. According to Africa Business+ sources, CEVA used its funds for the acquisition and not debt. M+R Spedag, which intends to focus solely on the South African market, was advised by EY.
