Andry Rajoelina signs with EGAAD for first stage of Tana-Tamatave highway
Led by the Egyptian public works group Samcrete, associated with Orascom, the $250 million project covers 80km for the first section from the capital to the east coast. The project must be completed within 12 months, starting in November.

According to Africa Business+ sources, the purpose of the public-private partnership (PPP) “realisation-concession” contract for the future Antananarivo-Tamatave toll motorway is transformative. On Monday, 31 October, Malagasy President Andry Rajoelina will sign with the Egyptian grouping Egyptian African Arab Co. for Development (EGAAD).
