Jumia, the “pan-African” e-commerce specialist registered in Germany, and indirectly listed on the New York Stock Exchange, is mainly based in Dubai. Since 7 November, however, its two co-founders and former co-CEOs, Jérémy Hodara and Sacha Poignonnec, the former HEC and McKinsey graduates who launched it a decade ago, are no longer in control.
