Filatex Group completes first phase of 10 MW hybrid solar power plant in Madagascar
According to Africa Business+ sources, this first phase, the cost of which remains under wraps, was financed 30% by equity and 70% by debt provided by the Renewable Energy Performance Platform (REPP), a vehicle set up by the British government for developing countries.

This photovoltaic unit with a capacity of 2.4 MW, built in Diego in the north of the island, will be combined with a pre-existing thermal power plant running on heavy fuel oil (HFO), owned by Hasnaine Yavarhoussen‘s diversified Malagasy group Filatex, via its subsidiary Enelec.
