Liberian shipping registry continues upgrading and engages BGR Government Affairs in Washington
The Liberian Registry, managed by the private US company Liberian International Ship & Corporate Registry (LISCR LLC), based in Dulles, Virginia – and paid for by the government in Monrovia – is now using US lobbying firm BGR Government Affairs to raise its profile in the US further.

The Liberian Registry is the second-largest shipping registry in the world after Panama. With over 5,600 ships registered under its flag, it accounts for 15% of the world’s fleet. It is now certified by the International Maritime Organisation and has experienced robust growth recently.
