The former Perenco executive will be responsible for the smooth running of the Cameroon Oil Transportation Company (COTCo), in which Savannah Energy has a 31.06% stake. COTCo owns and operates the 903 km Cameroon section of the 1,000 km Chad-Cameroon export pipeline and the Kome Kribi 1 floating storage and offloading facility and associated infrastructure. The pipeline has a capacity of 250,000 barrels of oil per day. It remains the only international export route for Chad’s oil production. In 2022, COTCo transported an average of 124,000 b/d of crude oil worth an estimated $4.6 billion at current Brent prices.
