Omnicane hires consultants to accelerate conversion of coal-fired power stations to biomass in Mauritius

The sugar group, owned by businessman Jean-Raymond Boulle, and public and cooperative capital started the project a few years ago. It holds great importance for Omnicane, as the company’s primary source of revenue is selling electricity to the state, and it is expected to renew its contract in 2027.
