Nouakchott turns to BRL Ingénierie-Agricane to reactivate Foum Gleita sugar project 

The duo is expected to carry out the feasibility study for the agro-industrial sugar production complex project, which has lain fallow for several years. The latter is to take the form of a PPP for a budget of around $350 million.

The Mauritanian Minister of Economic Affairs and Promotion of Productive Sectors, Ousmane Kane, has retained the French company BRL Ingénierie and the South African company Agricane for the preliminary studies of Foum Gleita. After a first green light on the technical level, the Franco-South African team still has to submit its financial offer.
