How Zola EDF Côte d’Ivoire is financing the deployment of 100,000 solar kits
The transaction, estimated at €40m ($44m), is to be carried out through a receivables securitisation programme, the first of its kind on the continent to finance a renewable energy project.

The Côte d’Ivoire company ZECI, a joint venture between Zola Electric and the French utility EDF, has concluded a contract with the investment platform NEoT Offgrid Africa (NOA) to carry out the receivables securitisation programme, Philippe Ringenbach, CEO of NEoT Capital, NOA’s management company, explained to Jeune Afrique Business+.
