At Setrag, Nohine Yo takes on bridge infrastructure rehabilitation projects (€22m)

The Senegalese engineer, who has been equipment director at Setrag since early 2019, is overseeing the renovation of the railway line’s bridge infrastructure, a key part of a vast €95m aid package, financed by AFD since 2016, allocated to Setrag.

According to our sources, after preliminary studies were completed by Setec International, the global division of French engineering firm Setec, with operations in Tunis, Abidjan, Libreville and Misrata on the continent, the Trans-Gabon Railway operator, Société d’exploitation du Transgabonais (Setrag), launched a tender for the rehabilitation of a certain number of the railway line’s concrete and metal installations. To prepare for these future works projects along the 648-kilometre long railway, the earthworks company Colas also performed work on the network’s unstable areas.
