Ethiopia: why Canal+ chose Eutelsat over Astra
The launch of its services in the country has been postponed to early 2021 due to delays caused by the pandemic.

The Eutelsat 7C satellite, which belongs to the eponymous French group listed on Euronext Paris, will be responsible for broadcasting Canal+’s premium direct-to-home television platform in Ethiopia. The Vivendi group subsidiary also hesitated over two other potential partners, Intelsat and Astra.
