Mahamadi Savadogo, Apollinaire Compaoré, Idrissa Nassa, and Mahamadou Bonkoungou, show interest in Tambao manganese

While the Burkinabè authorities advocate a “holistic” approach to relaunch the gigantic Tambao manganese development project, Jeune Afrique Business + has learned that 13 mining groups, including a consortium of local businessmen, have announced their interest in the recovery plan.

“We have 13 potential buyers vying for the takeover of Tambao. These are Chinese, Russian and Canadian groups, but also a conglomerate of Burkinabè entrepreneurs,” said the Burkinabè Minister of Mines and Energy to Jeune Afrique Business +.
