Banking: Coris Group to open in Guinea-Bissau

“We are going to open a branch in Guinea-Bissau to cover all the countries of the West African Economic and Monetary Union,” a source close to Coris Holding told Jeune Afrique Business+. The firm oversees the banking subsidiaries of the financial group built by Idrissa Nassa.

According to Jeune Afrique Business+ sources, Coris Bank International, founded in 2008, is preparing to launch in Guinea-Bissau. “We are in the preparatory phase of the work. We have already obtained permission to set up a branch in Bissau,” said an authorized source. According to our information, the branch, for which the opening date is unknown, comes under the group’s Senegalese subsidiary, CBI Senegal, headed by Ibrahima Mar Fall.
