Morocco’s third-largest cement company has taken out a €165 million loan from IFC to expand into Senegal, Mali and Ghana.

The subsidiary, dedicated to activities outside the Cements of Africa Kingdom (Cimaf), will receive support from the Washington DC-based donor, IFC, a subsidiary of the World Bank. In Morocco, the Omnium des industries et de la promotion group (OIP) operates through Ciments de l’Atlas (Cimat).
