Mining: Gide supports Mauritania in its ICSID arbitration against MCM

Nouakchott has retained the French firm to defend it in its dispute against a subsidiary of the Canadian company First Quantum Minerals (FQM), listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange.

Mauritanian Copper Mines (MCM) holds the second oldest mining licence in Mauritania with the Guelb Moghrein mine, containing copper, cobalt and gold. It is also known locally as Mines de cuivre de Mauritanie (MCM).
