The successor to François Sporrer, a central figure in economic cooperation in West Africa, is none other than the veteran Daniel Gallissaires. Gallissaires has been in Ankara since 2017 as Head of the Regional Economic Service, which is the counterpart of Sporrer for the area. In the Turkish capital, Gallissaires will be replaced by Abdenor Brahmi, a Harvard alumnus who has worked for the African Development Bank.
