The loan facility of minimum €57 million is intended to assist the Botswana Development Corporation Limited (BDC) in supporting Botswana’s SMEs with long-term loans. SMEs account for most of the local entrepreneurial fabric but struggle to access credit – less than 40% benefit from such access.
