Agribusiness: Alexandre Vilgrain ends tenure at Castel’s Somdiaa
Since 1995, the French CEO has been at the helm of the Castel group subsidiary specialising in the production of sugar and flour and the market leader in the Central African Economic and Monetary Community (CEMAC) zone.

Africa Business + has learned that Alexandre Vilgrain, who succeeded his father, Jean-Louis Vilgrain, as CEO in 1995, is leaving the helm of the Société d’organisation, de management et de développement des industries alimentaires et agricoles (Somdiaa), a French miller and sugar producer 87% owned by the Castel group, a global beverage giant.
