Grégory Ligny, VP Africa of Thales: “In cybersecurity, we are thinking of developing in West Africa”
Grégory Ligny, appointed Thales’ vice president for Africa in June 2021, told Africa Business+ about the group’s growth levers on the continent, as it has just set up a centre dedicated to cybersecurity in Morocco.

The company announced at the beginning of April that it would set up its sixth Security Operations Centre (SOC) in Morocco, the first on the continent. This SOC will support its African activities and those of its customers. Grégory Ligny, Thales’ vice-president for Africa, emphasised the role that this centre must play, not only meeting the growing needs in terms of cybersecurity but supporting the more global development of the group’s other businesses.
