Conakry Airport: split with ADP not ruled out
Two years after winning the tender for the rehabilitation and extension of Conakry airport, the Chinese constructor Weihai International Economic & Technical Cooperative (WIETC) has yet to sign the works contract. This is due to a lack of agreement between the investors, including ADP.

Société de Gestion et d’Exploitation de l’Aéroport de Gbessia (Sogeag) chose Weihai International Economic & Technical Cooperative (WIETC), who built the airports of Lomé, Brazzaville, Malabo and Kinshasa, was preferred over the Turkish Summa – the French Sogea-Satom was disqualified. SOGEAG will oversee the modernisation of the airport and the investment in a new terminal in Conakry.
