Voltalia Morocco’s Abdelkhalek Srij : “Solar energy is to play an increasingly important role in the Kingdom”
The country manager of the energy company describes the main features of the group’s Moroccan and African strategy. While awaiting regulatory advances, he favours solar energy and decidedly organic growth.

Voltalia has been strengthening its position in Morocco for several months. During a call for tenders awarded in April by Masen, the company won 117 MW of the proposed 400 MW of solar capacity, the largest lot. These are the sites of Ain Beni Mathar (69 MW) and Guercif (48 MW). Work is due to start in 2023.
