According to Africa Business+, the head of the Compagnie Financière d’Afrique (COFINA), a specialist in mesofinance, has been refused a banking licence by the regulatory authorities.

Jean-Luc Konan, CEO and chairman of the Compagnie financière d’Afrique (COFINA), specialist in mesofinance, was refused a banking license by the regulatory authorities, the Banking Commission of the West African Monetary Union, chaired by the Ivorian, Jean Claude Kassi Brou, the governor of the Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO).
