Kosmos expects Grand Tortue Ahmeyim on stream by the end of 2023

Texas’ Kosmos, the BP group, which has a majority stake in the project, and the national companies Petrosen and SMH should not experience any further slippage in the schedule. Kosmos could resell some of the gas on its own account before the launch of phase 2.

Typhoon Muifa, which hit China in mid-September, had no significant effect on the structural condition of the future FPSO of the Greater Tortue Ahmeyim (GTA) offshore gas project. During the storm, the vessel, which is afloat and under construction by Cosco in the port of Qidong near Shanghai, broke its moorings.
