African Guarantee Fund secures $150m support from UK BII
The pan-African guarantee fund will channel this jointly managed facility into its SME lending portfolio, focusing on women and the environment.

British International Investment (BII), the UK’s development finance institution, led by Nick O’Donohoe, has strongly supported the African Development Bank’s guarantee fund. As a result, the African Guarantee Fund (AGF), headed since 2020 by Cameroonian Jules Ngankam, will benefit from a $150 million credit guarantee from BII.
