Japan’s MUFG and JBIC support floating gas terminal in Dakar
The ship, converted into a terminal by a Singaporean group, will supply natural gas to the 235 MW Karpowership floating power plant anchored in the port of the Senegalese capital for the past two years.

Karmol Lngt Powership Africa, the floating storage and regasification terminal, arrived in the port of Dakar in 2021. It has been the subject of a $71 million loan package to its owners, the Turkish group Karpowership and Mitsui OSK Lines, Japan’s largest shipping company.
