Savannah Energy-Chad legal battle : Bracewell LLP and Kreich Avocats face off 

The case pits the parties before two separate courts, challenging previous judgments. One was before the High Court of N’Djamena, where the Chadian party filed an appeal to suspend the transfer of ExxonMobil’s assets to Savannah Energy. The other was before the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris (ICC), which was lodged by the British junior.

The London law firm Bracewell LLP is defending Savannah EnergyAlistair Calvert (partner) is at the helm. He specialises in project-related litigation in the oil and gas, power, renewable energy and infrastructure sectors. Calvert, also involved in mediation and dispute resolution, graduated in law from Cambridge University and started his practice at Pinsent Masons.
