Mozambique mega-dam : final duel between TotalEnergies/Edf and a southern African consortium

From the seven consortia competing over the Mphanda Nkuwa dam, two continue to run in the final selection phase for this emblematic project located on the River Zambezi and estimated at $4.5bn.

A Franco-Japanese consortium and another mainly comprised of operators from Southern Africa represent the selection of companies participating as a strategic partner for the large-scale 1.5 GW Mphanda Nkuwa Dam project on the River Zambezi in Mozambique, which also involves building 1,300km of high-voltage power lines.
