Legal advisers in the Angola v Aenergy case awaiting US hearing

Angola and Aenergy, an electricity company owned by the Portuguese national, Ricardo Machado, have been crossing swords in US courts since 2020 after the breach of 13 contracts, and more specifically, the provision of electricity turbines for a $1.1m power plant project.

A civil action, which Aenergy filed in a New York court in May 2020 and over which the Supreme Court refused to adjudicate, arrived in the office of the District Court for the District of Columbia at the beginning of March, Africa Business+ has learned.
