Eritrean potash: Lawyer Pia Drummond to lead Australian Danakali’s exit

Having failed to fully finance its project, despite the support of Afreximbank and Africa Finance Corporation (AFC), the Perth-based junior miner, partly owned by AFC, is throwing in the towel. It has sold all its shares to the Chinese group Sichuan Road & Bridge.

Pia Drummond, a partner in the Australian law firm Steinepreis Paganin, advised the junior mining company Danakali on the outcome of its potash mining project in Eritrea, initiated more than 20 years ago.
