Almost ten years ago, in 2014, the two Proparco alumni – Laurent Demey and Luc Rigouzzo – made a remarkable entry into the world of African private equity by raising $275 million for their first investment vehicle. In 2019, they improved their performance by increasing to €375 million through their second pan-African fund. Four years later – with three other funds raised in parallel – the pair are launching the third vehicle in their pan-African series with the counter on the rise again. According to Africa Business+ sources, the asset manager aims to raise between €450 million and €500 million.
