Red Rocket, successor to Scatec in Lesotho’s first solar PPP, seeks cover to complete financing round
After taking over Scatec’s stake in this public-private solar power plant at the end of 2022, the South African developer applied for MIGA cover on the last loan granted to complete the takeover of the unit.

Red Rocket, led by Matteo Brambilla, has a 50% stake in the project in Mafeteng and already has Scandinavian investor Norfund in its round, with a 20% interest. Other investors include One Power Lesotho, Power Consult, Izuba Energy and the Lesotho Pension Fund.
