Data centres: Liquid Telecom negotiates $90 million from IFC to expand
Eager to accelerate the setting up of these facilities, the Econet subsidiary is again counting on the multilateral institution IFC.

The International Finance Corporation (IFC) is once again responding to the needs of African telecom groups. The World Bank Group member plans to participate in the continent’s digitalisation drive by preparing a $90 million financial contribution to Liquid Telecom, owned by billionaire Strive Masiyiwa‘s Econet giant.
