The new financing vehicle of AfricInvest Europe in SMEs investing on the continent will be about twice as big as the Franco-African Fund 1. The latter had raised a total of €77 million, but only half of this amount, or €38.5 million, was dedicated to the strategy of investing in French SMEs with a link to Africa (the remaining 50% was invested directly in Africa).
