Transmission Company of Nigeria CEO Sule Ahmed Abdulaziz selects two Chinese bids for $155 million network extension
The proposals from Xian Electric/Sumec Complete Equipment and North China Power Engineering were approved by the head of the national transmission company.

On 14 April, the Chinese consortium made up of Xian Electric Engineering Co. Ltd/Sumec Complete Equipment & Engineering and North China Power Engineering Ltd won the contract for the construction of high-voltage (330 kV) transmission lines for the Nigeria Transmission Expansion Project 1 (NTEP 1) for a total of US$154.92 million.
