MSC–Maha Capital Partners still waiting for Matadi port concession
The duo is contending with the difficulties of the current operator, the Société commerciale des transports et des ports (SCTP), which can no longer pay the significant arrears of salaries owed to its managers and agents, therefore delaying the handing over of the concession.

The memorandum of understanding signed in Kinshasa on 25 April 2022 in the presence of the Congolese president, Félix Tshisekedi, for the concession of one of the two terminals at the river-sea port of Matadi to the world leader in container shipping, the Swiss Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), in partnership with the Qatari investment fund Maha Capital Partners, is still some way off.
