Egypt : IFC supports $709 million Sumitomo/Amea Power wind farm

Located on the Red Sea, the IPP project carried out by the Emirati Amea Power in conjunction with the Japanese Sumitomo will deliver 500 MW.

The Amunet wind project by Amea Power is moving towards financial closure, having been confirmed in 2019 with the signing of a 25-year power purchase agreement with the Egyptian public electricity distribution company EETC.
